A few simple pantry essentials that are all readily available! What you'll need to prepare this nutritious chicken salad in the Mediterranean style is as follows:


• Salad dressing with extra virgin olive oil Choose tasty, smooth olive oil, such as our buttery, delectable Italian Nocellara.

• Lemon: The juice and zest lend acidity to the creamy chicken salad, making it less heavy.

• Garlic: Chopped garlic gives the dressing a taste and an edge. I only use 1-2 cloves, but if you adore garlic, I salute you. Whatever your heart desires, add garlic.

• Dijon mustard: The star of the dressing, Dijon gives it a punchy, silky texture.


Sumac is a common spice in the Mediterranean region that brightens dishes. Although there is no bitterness, the taste is akin to lemon zest. Order sumac from our shop, locate it at certain food shops, or use the zest from lemons as a replacement.


• Paprika: Paprika adds a very mild spice and depth of taste, whether sweet or smoked. For a milder taste, use sweet.

• Cooked chicken: You may buy a pre-rotisserie chicken from the shop or boil and shred chicken breast.

Shallots: They provide a subtle, sweet onion taste. You may use red or green onions as a replacement.

• Crunchy foods: Walnuts and celery give taste and crunch.


• Mediterranean flavor enhancers: Sun-dried tomatoes and canned artichoke hearts give bursts of unique Mediterranean flavor.

Parsley brings freshness. Italian parsley with flat leaves is best since it tends to be less bitter and more delicious than its curly counterpart.  

• Salt and pepper: Without salt and pepper, no matter how robust the flavours, this nutritious chicken salad will fall flat. They enhance and highlight the flavours of the other components. To enhance the taste, add seasoning to taste. 


A Simple and Delicious Chicken Salad Recipe


Even if the flavours begin to emerge after 30 minutes of sitting, this simple chicken salad dish requires 10 minutes and a few bowls. Beginning with the dressing 


Construct the dressing. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add 1/3 cup of olive oil, a few minced cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Squeeze in the juice from a lemon.Juice two lemons after zesting one. To blend, whisk well.


 Assemble the salad's components. Add 12 ounces of cooked and shredded chicken to a large mixing basin. To enhance the flavour, it is recommended to include 2 celery stalks and 1-2 chopped shallots.. Add 1 (15-ounce) can of drained and chopped marinated artichoke hearts and a couple of ounces of sun-dried tomatoes. Add 13 cups of chopped walnuts and one packed cup of parsley.I have a cup of parsley that is ready to be used. As for seasoning, it is recommended to.


Get the salad ready. Mix the salad to combine the dressing after adding it.

• Serve. For the finest taste, cover and chill for 30 to 60 minutes. If you're starving, serve straight away. 


Chicken Salad Shelf Life?

For two to three nights, refrigerate leftovers in a well-sealed container. You may make the chicken salad but save the dressing if you are meal preparing and want it to last a day or two longer. If you are preparing a meal and want it to last for a day or two, it's best to store the dressing separately to maintain freshness.
